Below are supervisors recommended by London Young Counselling. Counsellors are encouraged to contact supervisors directly to arrange your 1:1 supervison. Please complete the supervision agreement with your selected supervisor, whether with one of our recommended supervisors or another.

Ami Stevens

CEO and Founder

Ami is the Founder and CEO of London Young Counselling. Ami has a BA Hons in Business and Management and a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Studies. Ami’s passion has always been to support the mental health of young people and by creating London Young Counselling in 2017, the service has been able to provide Counselling Services to Schools across the UK.

Ann Shepherd

Supervisor and Group Trainer

Ann is an accredited counsellor with the National Counselling Society (NCS). She has a level 5 Diploma with distinction, in Counselling Supervision from Lindum College. For the past 12 years she has worked as an integrative counsellor with adults, young people, and children in her private counselling practice on a wide range of issues. She has also worked as a volunteer counsellor in a secondary school with pupils aged 11 to 18 years old. Over the past 10 years, she has worked as counsellor for a charity in Cambridgeshire and as the Deputy Clinical Services Manager for the past 15 months. Alongside her Counselling practice, she offers integrative supervision to students and qualified counsellors, on an individual and in group settings. https://www.annshepherd.co.uk

Charlotte Withey

Supervisor

Charlotte is a Therapeutic Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor. Supervision provides a confidential, supportive and reflective space for counsellors and psychotherapists in which to develop and enhance one’s professional and personal skills and to explore the impact of client work on oneself.I am a qualified integrative counsellor and clinical supervisor working in schools, agencies and private practice with children, families and adults in counselling. I offer integrative supervision to students, newly qualified and experienced counsellors as individuals or within a group setting. I also work within schools offering supervision to teachers. I aim to bring nurturing, supportive and empathic qualities to my role as a supervisor, providing a safe and non-judgemental space to explore client work. Basing my supervision practice on the respected theory of Hawkins & Shohet, using the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice and having supervision of supervision. I aim to work with my supervisee’s individual needs in order to support them in their practice, continued personal development and self-care.
