Because we gather certain types of information about our users of the service we feel you should fully understand the terms and conditions surrounding the capture and use of that information. This privacy statement fully explains what information we gather and how we use it and protect it.

The Information we Gather and Track
We are registered with the Information Commissioner and all submitted information is processed in accordance with the provisions of the 1998 Data Protection Act.

Information Collected by our Contact Forms
This information is collected for the purpose of contacting users with a view to responding to their queries. The information collected in this way is used for no purpose other than this.

Statistical Information about Traffic to our Site
We use statistics software to track user traffic patterns throughout our site. However, we do not correlate this information with data about individual users. We do break down overall usage statistics according to where users linked to us from, and about their browser type, by reading this information from the browser string (information contained in every user’s browser).

We also track and catalogue the search terms that users enter in our Search function, but this tracking is never associated with individual users. We use the information to determine which areas of our sites users like and don’t like based on traffic to those areas. We do not track what individual users read, but rather how well each page performs overall. This helps us continue to build a better service for you. We use any information voluntarily given by our users only for the express purpose for which that information was intended and for that purpose only.

Sharing of Information
We use the above described information to tailor our content to suit your needs, to provide information users request about our services and to provide support to our users. We do not and will not ever share information about individual users with any third party, except where we are required to do so to comply with any applicable law or valid legal process or to protect the personal safety of our users or the public.

Access to Information

Security
londonyoungcounselling.uk operates secure data networks protected by industry standard firewall and password protection systems. Our security and privacy policies are periodically reviewed and enhanced as necessary and only authorised individuals have access to the information provided by our customers.

If there are changes to our privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page so that you are always aware of what information we collect and how we use it.

Privacy for private clients
During our counselling relationship together information with be gathered regarding the nature of the issues you are presenting along with logistical and contact information.  The privacy of this information is of upmost importance to the trust we build in the counselling relationship.  Minimum information shall be recorded if absolutely necessary and not shared with any third party except in the event of a court subpoena. Any information record can be shared with you at your request.

Payment card details cannot be recorded as we cannot view you full card details.
